The Knights of Columbus Council 6125 is a men’s Fraternal organization following the virtues of
Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism. We are closely associated with the
Catholic Church and support our priests and seminarians. A high percentage of
our money and hours are directed toward charity. Organizations we have donated
monies to are Special Olympics Brevard chapter, the Very Special Arts,
Devereux, Harmony Farms Horses for Handicapped, Adult Handicapped Citizens, St.
Mary’s Food Pantry, Pregnancy Resources, the Challenger Handicapped Baseball
team, and help veterans in our local area. In addition, we help individuals and
families based on need.

Kentucky Derby/Cinco de Mayo Festival
Saturday saw a double feature at the Hall. First we had a Derby Party complete with mint juleps and horse betting. Congratulations to our 3 winners, John Golob, Beth Lowery and Shirley Henriksen. Also a great thanks to all 3 for donating their winnings to the Council!
Following the race the Cinco de Mayo festival was held in the main hall. The meal was too much and too good. Thanks to Chef Estevo (Steve) O Conor for a job well done. We had a new band, “Six in the City”, led by our very own Don Fuda. Based on the comments we will be seeing a lot them in the future. Besides the great music we had a limbo contest, hula hoop “twist off” and the breaking of the piñatas which provided plenty of laughs. A great time was had by all. Thanks to John Prokopowicz for all the hard work he put in.
